Welcome to my website! I’ve written three fiction books. My latest is a fantasy novel entitled The Marked One. I hope you will pause for a moment and take a look or “a listen” to Pella Sparpoint’s story.
 Life has not been easy for Pella Sparpoint in the City of Jewels. Trapped in a land of stone, ice and strict religious custom on a world that has never seen the sun, all this simple tavern boy and outcast desires is to keep a low profile and honor a decade-old oath to his missing father. But forces are at work that will destroy Pella’s modest dreams. When a dispute erupts with the powerful Crystal Guild over a small strip of land, he is catapulted into a battle for his own survival – and for the survival of his entire race.
One thousand years have passed since the destruction of civilization on Annaber. All that remains from that ancient time are secrets, riddles, political intrigue and a mysterious madness that threatens to plunge the kingdom into a civil war.
As his icy world begins to warm, a handful of cryptic verses called “The Keys” warn of a horrific danger that is approaching and point the way to survival. Before Pella can decipher these clues and protect those he cares about, he must first give up everything he holds dear and fulfill his destiny.
But Pella cares little about his destiny. He has problems enough just trying to survive while avoiding the schemes of the powerful political forces that would use him. Besides, he has plans of his own and is growing increasingly tired of being pushed against his will – no matter that one of the ones doing the pushing is a God.
Listen to the first three chapters of The Marked One performed by award-winning Narrartor, Dick Hill. If you are not familiar with Dick's work, he is an amazing narrator and truly makes books 'come alive.' You are in for a treat. Enjoy!

My first book, Termination for Convenience, was co-written with Charlie Panasewicz. It is a novel set within Southern California’s defense industry. The plot springs from a high-tech contract that goes terribly wrong. Charlie is an incredibly gifted guy and writing with him was an absolute pleasure. The book was written about fifteen years ago. We are presently updating it -- converting pagers to Blackberries -- that sort of thing. It should be available in 2009. An audio file of the first few chapters, read by none other than Dick Hill.

As a newly ordained Andesine Monk, Pella Sparpoint’s vows require that he always speak the truth and that he leave each man he meets better for having met him. These are difficult tasks even in normal times, but his world is far from normal.
Pyre’s spawn, the ancient evil prophesied by ‘The Keys,’ have returned and as the Andesine Battle Leader, it is up to Pella to lead the defense of his world. But the powerful Crystal Guild and the opposing Pyronite Church view Pella, and his rise to the head of the Andesine Order, as a much larger threat.
As his world descends into war, everywhere Pella turns, he finds more bitter secrets – the family members who abandoned him are revealed one by one, as are plots more sinister than the danger confronting his world.
Pella has been cruelly used by those who profess to be his friends and those who wish to kill him. By the time he discovers his lover’s betrayal, he is no longer the gentle tavern boy he once was. He has been hardened by war and the forces of his world. He is now ready to become the Hand of God – and his God has need of a fist.
